| Folami Ford, CI and CT, has a Bachelor's degree in Sign Language Interpreting from Maryville College and a Master's degree in Interpretation from Gallaudet University. She currently is a full-time staff interpreter with Gallaudet Interpreting Services. Folami was recently elected the Vice-President of NAOBI-DC and is looking forward to investing her time and energy into the revitalization of the D.C. chapter. Her areas of interest include the African-American Deaf community, African-American interpreters, mentoring interpreters, and teaching interpreting. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, reading science fiction and/or fantasy novels, and practicing yoga. |
