| Pamela Renay DeBato has been a professional interpreter for almost twenty years. She grew up in Houston, TX and has been signing for as long as she can remember. Pamela is a nationally recognized presenter and trainer, and has worked as an Interpreter Educator and Rehabilitation Counselor for the Deaf. She currently holds RID CI/CT and NAD V certifications. She received her B.A. in Interpretation: ASL/English from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Her M.S. in Deafness Rehabilitation Counseling. Pamela then went on to graduate from the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Washington DC. In 2002 she wrote, produced, and co-directed her original piece entitled History on Hands that has been staged in Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Arkansas. Pamela’s mission is to “inspire sign language interpreters to live beyond their perceived limitations and be all they can be”. |
