| Hearing people are moved by the emotive quality of music. As interpreters, how can we evoke that same experience for the Deaf when interpreting songs? If we can tap into THEIR interpretive, artistic expression, and incorporate that into our interpretation, we can truly provide a equal access to the musical experience. This workshop will explore strategies and devices for incorporating ASL poetry into song interpretation. |
