1 Full Time, 12-month Staff Interpreter Position
(SUA II) AA# 08-7-199
Position begins  July /August 2008
 
Qualifications:
  • RID Certification (CSC,CI,CT,NIC) or NAD IV,V required
  • Registration under PA Act 57 required upon hire date.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Fluency in ASL & English required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of professional interpreting experience in diverse settings required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred.
  • Finalist(s) must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and/or demonstration.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide interpreting/transliterating services for students, staff, faculty, & the university community within a flexible schedule.
  • 37.5 hours per week which include interpreting services, office hours, & prep time (1 hour per class per week)
