Manager, Interpreting Services
 

Gallaudet University has a position available for Manager, Interpreting Services.  Incumbent will manage Gallaudet Interpreting Service staff interpreters including training, skills assessment and performance evaluations;  will establish and manage ongoing an client/user feedback mechanism and incorporate feedback to improve services; will develop and maintain a community outreach program to assess community needs and develop programs to address community concerns; will provide oversight of internal GIS committees and is responsible to assess and improve program quality and to develop and implement plans to improve staff skills; will develop unit budget and work with GIS management team to support development of a comprehensive GIS budget.

 
Requires:
Bachelor's degree and five years of progressively responsible experience related to service provision.  Supervisory or program management experience.  Experience in sign language interpreting as a service provider and/or customer.  Must be fluent in American Sign Language.
