Bwasli Conference 2005
Country Report |
| |
The
very first WASLI [World Assoc. of Sign Language
Interpreters] Conference took place near Worcester,
South Africa 30 October - 2 November 2005. This
was a very special event and saw over 200 interpreters
from over 40 countries from every corner of the
world come together.
One important feature of the conference was the
Country Reports. Delegates from each of the representative
countries were given the opportunity to address
conference and to speak about what was happening
in their country in relation to sign language interpreting
and to provide some statistical information about
their countries.
The final report is now complete and ready. The
full report is 35 pages long and takes up 1070KB
of memory (PDF format) so the decision was taken
NOT to send this out as an email attachment to everyone
because of the time and cost it may cause. It was
planned to send you a link so that you could read
the report from the website, but the website is
not yet ready. |
| |
|
So, if you would like an electronic copy of the
report in PDF format, then please request a copy
at the address wasli.secretary@btinternet.com
and a copy will be sent. |
|
|
At this time,
it is not possible to send out hard copies of the
Report.
Once the website is ready, the report will be uploaded
and a message sent to everyone with the new link.
Thank you for your understanding.
