The
National Alliance of Black Interpreters (NAOBI)
is proud to announce the open scholarship application
period for 2009. We understand that the interpreting
field is very competitive. Education is the key
that opens doors to new opportunities and experiences
necessary to be successful within the interpreting
and deaf communities. The NAOBI Scholarship Program
offers financial support to a deserving student
who is striving to continue his or her education.
This year, one deserving student will receive a
scholarship of $1000 to aid in his or her educational
expenses.
The successful applicant will be notified by mail
no later than May 30, 2009.
Recipients will receive special recognition at NAOBI's
2009 Annual Conference during the closing banquet.
Scholarship dollars will be distributed upon confirmation
of school attendance in the Fall 2009 semester or
quarter. |
