Noah Butler, III, a New Orleans
native, serves as the director of Al Yadav Ministries,
Inc. He began his deaf ministry work in 1992 at
Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church in
New Orleans as a Praise and Worship interpreter
and choir music interpreter. He also served as director
of the sign language choir, "Unspeakable Joy".
In 1996, he moved his membership to Beacon Light
Missionary Baptist Church and began His Hands Deaf
Ministry of New Orleans. Noah served as Director
of that ministry. He began teaching American Sign
Language at the Daryl S. Brister School of Ministry
in 1997 and served faithful until his tenure ended
in 2001. Before Hurricane Katrina he served as Senior
Interpreter for Franklin Avenue Baptist Church,
Hands of Praise Deaf Ministry, New Orleans, LA,
under the leadership of Pastor Fred Luter, Sr.
In the spring of 2001, Noah began a sign language
gospel group called "Noah3 & Company"
consisting of 8 interpreters and 3 liturgical dancers.
In October of 2002, Noah and Bishop Paul S. Morton,
Sr. produced a Live Video recording of the group
entitled "On One Accord." He is currently
scheduled to record with his new group, Company
of Believers in July 2007.
On the professional side, Noah has taught ASL1 and
ASL2 at Delgado Community College in New Orleans,
LA, ASL1 and Religious Signing at Southern University
at New Orleans, served as educational interpreter
for several colleges and high schools. He conducts
professional workshops and skills building seminars
for religious interpreters, and performs across
the country with the Company. In his willingness
to serve, Noah travels the country as an evangelist,
sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. He currently
interprets for St. Luke Community United Methodist
Church in Dallas, TX, is an interpreter at El Centro
College in Dallas, TX, and serves as Interpreter
Coordinator for the several music festivals. He
also teaches "The Art of ASL" through
Al Yadav Ministries in the city of Dallas and DeSoto,
TX. |
