Antonio
Goodwin is originally from South Carolina, and now
lives in Pasadena, CA. His company, the Renaissance
One Co., provides American Sign Language consulting
and advocacy services, as well as a myriad of other
business services.
In December 2001, Antonio completed a joint degree
program from Vanderbilt
University's Law School and Divinity School with
a J.D. and M.Div. His concentration was in litigation,
socio-political advocacy and ethics. Before Vanderbilt,
he graduated from Indiana University with an M.A.
in Folklore, with an emphasis in Ethnomusicology,
specifically African American religious and West
African music. While at Indiana University, Antonio
studied American Sign Language and has continued
his studies up to the present. He is an adjunct
professor at Chaffey College in American Sign Language.
Currently, he has a Certificate of Interpretation
(CI) from RID. He has presented at NAOBI 2005 and
NAOBI 2006, and delivers workshops on interpreting
sacred music and African American preaching nationwide. |
